Ofsted and Performance Data

Performance Data

As a junior school, pupils undertake Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs) at the end of Key Stage 2  (Year 6) only. The children are tested in: Reading, Math and SPAG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar). Writing is also assessed through teacher assessment. All of these assessments allow the school to review the children’s performance during their learning time at the school. Each year’s results are reflected upon by the school leadership team and used to feed into the schools improvement plan.

School Improvement and Partnership Working

We are always looking for ways to collaborate (one of our school values) and explore ways to improve our provision and practice to get the best outcomes for our children. This collaboration takes the form of working with others, which include:

  • Partnership working with our Infant school - INSET training, moderation, curriculum planning, curriculum events and trips.
  • Local schools partnership (South Schools Cluster) - Peer to peer support, subject leadership collaboration and support, moderation, curriculum events.
  • Citywide schools partnership (NW24) - Peer to peer support subject and leadership support and working together. Moderation and sharing of ideas for best practice and curriculum.
  • Partnership with LA to seek advice to monitor and evaluate current school practice and provision including next steps.
  • Ashton Park Sports Partnership - Provide opportunities for the children to take part in a variety of sports.
  • Bristol Future and DfE Universal RISE - Year 6 Writing Project.
  • Primary Heads Association Bristol
