Normal School Hours

Here at Broomhill Junior School we know and understand the importance of you knowing your children are well looked after and happy. They are at school for a lot of their time and you want to know they are safe. We also understand that some families require additional childcare that extends past the school day (breakfast and after school club) and as a result we provide 'wrap around care'. As a school we feel strongly about supporting our families and doing so with the best possible education and childcare that we can provide. The school day officially starts for Year 3 and 6 at 8.40 am and finishes at 3.10 pm and for Year 4 and 5 at 8.50 am and finishes at 3.20pm (32.5 hours for a typical week). A member of staff (headteacher or member of SLT) will be on the playground from 8.45am. Please note that until this time (8.45am) the playground is unsupervised. Children who arrive before 8.30am will be directed to breakfast club and a charge will be applied.
